Today, right-wing European whites and Christians—particularly Republicans in America—are once again attempting to rewrite and reshape the story of "Western civilisation", advancing narratives of "European superiority" while glossing over the colonialism, coercion, conversion, conquest, and exploitation on which European empires were built.
The people of Greece were gradually converted to Christianism, and history records the conflicts, coercion, imperial power, and suppression of traditional religious practices through which Christianism became dominant. This history must not be erased or rewritten to suit an "AMERICAN" political agenda.
Yet America continues to invoke “Western civilisation” as though its global influence spread solely through values, principles, and moral superiority.
